The painted is a baked-on enamel from what ive heard but have no experience with them. We had a cheap painted (spray painted) trailer and it rusted and looked bad quick.

They also are pipe top constructed. The only drawback is they are several hundred dollars more then competition. The Load Trail is a good trailer. My buddy had one 6.5x14 with side gate.
