Some of the thorlos are super thin with padding in the bottom and lace areas of the foot. My preference is socks that breath and dry quickly. I'm not a fan of cotton. I never wear liners. WebMay 25, 2010 · I’ve discovered that the Under Armour Cold Gear products work well for base layering. They’re thin and very snug fitting and they’re sold as Cold Gear 2.0 and Cold Gear 3.0 with the higher number being for colder weather. The leggings work well at keeping me warm as does the top. Not bulky and very effective. I have a 2.0 and 3.0 set.
